The painting is about 4.5" x 2.5" on 5" x 7" cardstock. It is painted on watercolor greeting card paper - I prefer to use them like time capsules, tucking a little note about our lives into the fold before framing the painting.
This was a study in geometric balance and organic contrasts. It was gently painted with brilliant crimson, fiery orange, and a touch of yellow, contrasted with pond green and storm blue. The process made a pleasing painting with a nice sense of light and growth.
I don't think I could ever reproduce it exactly, because watercolors do what they please!
