Many of my friends said they wanted to collect and gift original art, but felt like it was inaccessible. With some galleries charging thousands of dollars for giclée prints alone, it is no wonder!
I spent many a quiet moment mulling over what originally seemed to be a conflict of interests. Charging a low price for many hours of work is unfair for me, but the last thing I wanted to say was, "You're right, art is inaccessible! HAHA"
I had a light bulb moment - if charging myself a fair wage was the issue, why not create a series of artworks that were completed in small bites?
Art makes people happy, and now more people can collect original artwork.
