Renewal Happens

Do you ever look back on the times your life felt like it was on fire, and realize how you've grown since?

A burning blobbily spirit of translucent flames warms indigo wild lupines with it's sulfurous smile. Though the spirit appears to be scorching hot and the flowers blanketed in smoke, the velvety wildflowers remain unharmed. The spirit itself is a seedling waiting to grow.

The flowers bend in a changing wind, but still thrive in adversity.

Wild lupines respond well to fire, and there are reports that burned plants flower more.

It's amazing how the unexpected can awaken your spirit and give you a new perspective.

Over the past few years I've had several occasions where everything has felt like an emotional forest fire.  Even after life settles down, it doesn't magically feel better.  Acting like everything is fine when it wasn't is just a recipe for issues. There's still a lot to process, and reflect on.  This painting is part of that process.
