Painted while I battled a 6 week migraine. It seemed illogical, but I joined in with a 100 day challenge in order to give myself something else to focus on.
These little paintings helped to keep me excited about each day.
I LOVE pumpkins. I love everything related to Halloween, but pumpkins have a special place in my heart. They are plump and festive, growing in partnership with seed saving humans.
I have fond memories of going with my mother the last weekend before Halloween to finally pick out a pumpkin, and to carve it in a mad dash leading up to the holiday.
Painting this pumpkin brought me joy. I hope that it travels out into the world to keep doing good pumpkin work.
